Kindergarten will "celebrate service" by trying to get along with everyone in class.

Kindergarten is a full-day program that runs from 8:25 - 3:00. The morning sessions concentrates on Religion, Reading, Math and Phonics. During the afternoon the children have small group instruction as well as Social Studies and Science activities. All activities are hands-on. Children also participate in Music, Phys. Ed., and computer classes.

The Kindergarten teacher is Mrs. Maggie Perez.

During the second marking period Kindergarten children will be learning about:

Religion: God wants us to be safe. We prepare for Christmas with Advent and Christmas activities.

Reading: Themes: Fun at School and On the Farm . Recognition of high frequency words and identification of rhyming words

Writing: Learning to print the letters: f, g, b, e, t.

Math: Numbers to 10. Learning how to print numbers and identify them.

Social Studies: Thanksgiving and Pilgrims; Holidays. Second Step Program--How to handle conflict.
